Warlock Player-Vs-Player

Playing as a Warlock is easy; winning as a Warlock in a PVP event is difficult. It requires you know more or less exactly what you're doing and that your character is not only leveled correctly, but also in the proper equipment. If neither of these are fulfilled, it's very easy to lose at every fight they attempt.

There are three main types of Warlock; Affliction, Destruction and Demonology. As suggested, they each focus on different talents that grant the Warlock the ability to win a fight in different ways. Regardless of the specialization, a Warlock should always have some specific things first, such as Resilience. An amount of 800+ is respectable before dishing out the points into others.

Affliction focuses on regeneration and DoTs. Being able to last longer than your opponent, while maintaining your own fight is essential to winning. The longer you survive, the more time you have to let your spells take effect. These characters are important to develop around playing styles.

Demonology is very versatile, as you can expand your skill set to the other specializations to some degree and use your pets to harbor the remaining essential skills. For example, you can use the Voidwalker as a sacrifice to generate a shield to block a high level of damage. Other pets provide other bonuses and can be used as powerful distractions.

For those wishing for a somewhat simpler style of gameplay, the Destruction Warlock tries to deal as much damage as possible in the shortest time possible. This results in opponents being beaten down very quickly, but the Warlock can find he needs a certain length of time to recover. However, outfitted correctly, this can become a non-issue against certain opponents.
