Boston used Infiniti dealership raves about lines of new model
Recently, employees at a Boston used Infiniti dealership received the news of an exciting new concept model in the Infiniti playbook. Despite the fact that the employees at the Boston used Infiniti dealership are used to learning of new concept models, the news of this particular model was exceptionally exciting because of its unique and appealing lines, as well as its target market.
The vehicle is called the Infiniti Etherea and it was recently unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this month. Prior to the auto show, pictures and a short press release regarding the Etherea were made public, but mixed emotions ensued due to the ambiguity of both. However, in light of the full unveiling of this vehicle, all of the negative thoughts regarding the Etherea have gone by the wayside, from Geneva all the way to Boston. Infiniti G Coupe vehicles, sexy as they are, are no match for the Etherea's undeniable curb appeal.
Part of the new Infiniti's curb appeal comes from its uniqueness. The vehicle cannot be defined by any one category that the auto-industry currently uses to classify vehicles. Rather, Infiniti has described the Etherea as "a four-door coupe with five-door practicality a hatchback that doesn't look like a hatchback."
This lack of conforming will likely play into the Etherea's favor because current trends predict the future to be all about not conforming to previously defined ideals. With the ever-increasing age of technology, consumers of all ages are realizing they no longer have to act within a certain society. Therefore, they no longer have to decide between a hatchback and a coupe because, with the Etherea, they can have both.
The interior of the vehicle is as modern and nonconforming as the exterior. The concept model debuted at the Geneva Auto Show sported a nearly entirely white interior. Although this may not be a welcomed color for consumers' day-to-day needs, it certainly is appealing. The interior was also unique in that it featured traditionally Japanese design elements. The use of these features makes for an interesting flair to the often-mundane vehicle interior.
The Etherea certainly has the needed parts to perform on par with its Infiniti siblings. A 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine offers drivers 245 horsepower. The concept vehicle also features a continuously variable transmission and a hybrid drive system.
A spokesperson for the company went on to say that the "Etherea is about a new type of luxury for younger buyers." As mentioned above, the Etherea is specifically targeted for an entry-level luxury market, meaning the vehicle can be expected to accompany a manageable price tag. Although the vehicle looks exclusive and expensive, should it ever hit production stages, the opposite will be the truth.
Unfortunately right now, Infiniti has not confirmed whether or not the Etherea will stay as a concept of join the production lines and one day hit dealer lots, like those in Boston. Infiniti G Coupe, or a similar version of the vehicle, was once a concept car, however, so consumers do have reason to hope.
