Building A List: Crucial For Everyday Organization

Look forward twenty years from now. Do you want to be successful, wealthy, and happy? Of course many people desire to achieve certain things in life. How would you feel if I told you that a list is critical to achieving certain things in life? A list can be the difference between a life of productivity or chaos.
This article will outline ways you make lists work to help you accomplish your dreams and goals in a day-to-day process.
To achieve your dreams in life, think about the various roles you play. Perhaps you are an accountant at your job, but also you coach your kid's soccer team. Maybe you feel your life is completely disorganised.
Well, take about an hour to simply list out the roles you play in your life that you care about.
Next, after you have perhaps 5 to 10 roles listed, simply think about the goals you wish to achieve within those roles. Maybe there is a new role you wish to take on, such as a private business owner. Then list this! Just be sure to also list concrete goals to go along with these roles.
When listing your goals, it is critical to create concrete, specific goals. Don't say that you wish to be "wealthy." Instead, write within this list of roles, your desire to perhaps make $50,000 extra in profit this year from wise investments.
After you write these goals, you can now start making a list to achieve these goals.
The making of a list is simply breaking down your larger goals, into smaller more achievable every day steps.
Now, to build a list of steps to achieve your larger and every day goals, take an hour each week as your "planning time." This should be a ritualistic block of time in which no one bothers you. An hour may seem like a large amount of time to take in building a list, but really it is an investment of time that will make you prosperous and goal-oriented. Within this hour, allot certain amounts of time throughout the week to achieve your goals.
For example, if you want to make $500 at your job in sales, then maybe set aside an hour on Monday and an hour on Wednesday for networking with potential clients.
If you want to be the head coach for your son's soccer team, then devote an extra three hours to attending soccer practice and working with the kids.
The key is to be specific in planning out your week. Specifically plan out and think, "Okay, from 7:00-8:00 on Monday I will work on creating a website for my new business."
After you have a week planned, now be sure to break these goals down even further on a daily basis. Every night, make a "to do" list for the next day. Simply look at the overarching goals for the week to determine your list of things to do. Of course, you can also include unforeseen things that need to be done.
Building lists, now you will be more organised and able to achieve your goals.
