It is becoming increasingly common for companies to want their couriers to make pickups

at their house instead of having them come to an office or a store location. Big companies spent years establishing their skyscraper offices and huge factories, and now the age of high speed internet is rendering many of those facilities obsolete as employees opt to telecommute from home instead. That is why many people now work out of their homes and need a Miami courier service that will pick up their important documents, or even products out of their home instead of their office.

Entrepreneurship is also growing faster than it has in years, and many people are running startups out of their homes. These people also have a need for couriers on a frequent basis. However, not all courier companies are going to be willing to just make a delivery or a pickup from a home. Those that are willing to do so, might also want to charge you much more for that privilege.

There are couriers that specialize in making pickups from residential sites though. Some couriers have been realizing the recent trend that has been taking place in business and have expanded their service districts to accommodate that change.

If you want to have a courier make pickups from your home, you will probably have to open an account with the courier company and register your home address as the address of your business or a work address with the company. Then you'll have to establish the rate that they're going to charge you for making pickups from your home address. For some companies, this is going to cost nothing more than their regular rates, other might charge you an increased rate based on a variety of models.

The first of these would be a flat fee. Some business couriers might just have a surcharge that they add on to any order which is placed with them for a pickup that takes them outside the business district of a city. Others might have a zone division which they map the city by. This structure will typically charge you for every zone which you are away from their dispatch location. Finally, there are also companies that will just keep it simple and charge you based on a per mile basis for coming to make you pickup. Be sure to ask your courier to find out how much it will cost to have home pickup.
