Most of us who are law abiding citizens in America realize the economy of most of the world is in a slump and has been for a while now. We use credit cards to buy things we cannot afford to pay cash for and suffer for it later when the balance owed go up and so does the interest we pay for that convenience. The public as a whole has not been in a spending mood these past few years, mainly because so many are too busy standing in the unemployment lines, have found their hours or their rate of pay cut back, or else they're worrying they may lose their job. It's hard to think about having a nice big Christmas when we owe too much already.
