Modeling as a career option is fast catching up with the teens of our society. Almost every adolescent boy or girl wants to become a model. They literally worship the other renowned models who happen to be their idols. They look starry-eyed at the popular faces on the brightly-lit hoardings, and aspire to be one of them.
In order to achieve a successful career as a model there are two requirements which are always mentioned in any career guide:
I. Physical Requirements:
a) Height: the minimum height that is required to become a model is 5 feet 8 inches. The taller you are the better. The supermodels modeling for Paris, Milan and New York are more than 6 feet tall.
b) Weight: you should be about 10 inches less than the actual weight required to make it proportionate for your height. Your hips should not be more than 35 inches and the trend of size-zero is soon fading away. Do not compromise on your health for becoming a model because anorexic models are not required.
c) Skin: you should have a flawless skin. No acne marks or moles are accepted. The color of the skin does not matter as long as you have a beautiful and healthy skin.
d) Hair: a model needs to have beautiful and lustrous mane. It should not be too long and it must have sheen to it.
II. Personality Requirement:
a) Attitude: this is the most important quality that a model should have. attitude does not mean being arrogant. A model should exude confidence and style with every step they take.
b) Punctuality: timeliness is very important if you want to establish yourself in this career.
c) Dependable: you should be available to your agent as and when they require you.
So if you want to become a model then let me tell you that choosing modeling as a career option is no crime. In fact it is the most rewarding career resources. But do not be confused with the glitz and shine of this glamour world because behind this glamour goes the hard work and endless efforts of the models.
