Industrial Design is a basically a field of engineering and most of the engineering colleges in India, facilitate this course to the students. The students opting for this course need to get involved in a lot of research work, sketching, model making, product research, sampling and testing. Companies like HERO Cycles, USHA, Milton, FICCI, hire Industrial designers as Computer Aided Design Engineers, Computer Aided Industrial Designing Engineers, automobile designer, graphic designer, public utility equipments designer or quality control designer. Other than the jobs in India, there are many industrial Design jobs in countries abroad, which further widen the future prospects for the students with degrees in industrial Design.
