Cast All Your Cares On The Lord Part 1

Cast All Your Cares On The Lord Part 1

Casting all your cares on the Lord is throwing them off your shoulders and putting them, trustingly, on God's broad shoulders. The cares of this world include anxiety, burdens, concerns and serious attention to things that want to weigh us down and distract us from focusing on God.

The Lord is inviting you to cast all your cares on Him through His Word on Psalm 55:22, which says, "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall." God is telling us to burden Him with what burdens us. If you give your burdens to the Lord, He will carry them and He will not permit you to slip or fall.

Only our faith can free us from the anxiety that is caused by everyday activities. Jesus tells us in Luke 12:25-26, "Who of you, by worrying, can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" We can avoid worrying by putting our faith into action. It is good to work and plan responsibly, but it is bad to dwell on all the ways our planning could go wrong.

Worry is pointless because it can't fill any of our needs. Also, worry is foolish because the Creator of the Universe loves us and knows what we need. What is the point of worrying when we know we have not got all the answers? Worry will not take the problem away; it will only create stress, which is not good for your health. Only God can solve any problem you are facing if you put your faith and trust in Him.

It often seems easier to worry about our problems than to trust God with them. However, Apostle Paul advises us in Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Instead of worrying, pray about everything. Tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. This takes our focus from our inability to solve our problems and turns our eyes to Christ, who can meet our needs beyond our wildest expectations.

Child of God, turn to God in prayers and cast all your cares on Him, each time you are tempted to fret about something. And the Lord will bless you with overwhelming peace and you will enjoy His rest.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:

"Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen."

Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
