You can choose to work from home, you can work in a massage therapy center or you can work special events, choosing your own days and hours to work. You can choose to travel for your job or stay in one location. Massage therapy makes a great career for those needing a varied schedule.

In fact, a full time position doing Massage therapy is actually seventeen or more hours a week of actual massaging. The other time is spent typically on things like office work, billing, making appointments and cleaning equipment. The income level for massage therapists can vary depending on region and experience and even type of massage you give.
There are some things that must be accomplished before you can begin your massage therapy careers. No matter which state you live in, you need to complete an accredited training program that will let you practice in your chosen state. A massage therapist must also become nationally certified to practice massaging. Finally, people must meet all the state requirements and must obtain any special or additional licensing if needed. Once you accomplish all this, you will be able to begin your career.
