The famous PC maker company, Dell is now planning to launch a high-end smartphone for the Indian market, named the Dell Venue. Dell Venue is the Dell's first Windows Phone 7 mobile Operating System based smartphone.

The phone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and houses 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD 8250 processor. The Executive Director and General Manager of Dell India for consumer and SMB, Mr. Mahesh Bhalla said, "Dell Venue would be targeted at the young professionals who often juggle with work, on-the-go entertainment and social networking on a single device."

Dell Venue comes with a 4.1" WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a curved Gorilla Glass. Its screen is also the high-contrast and scratch-proof. The handset offers an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, 4X Zoom and autofocus for image and video capturing and sharing. This slider phone has a QWERTY keypad. The device includes some features like Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), gravity sensor, e-compass and A-GPS.

Dell Venue has 1 GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card slot. The handset includes 512 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM. This smartphone also provides a 1400 mAh battery. Dell Venue will be released on 18th Feb, 2011 and it will be available at the retail counter of India with the MRP of Rs 29,990 or $499.99.
