However, there are many people in the world today that may look like they are confident but are really screaming in fear on the inside. 1. The first tip is to think about an adversity in your life that you have overcome. It doesn't matter how small this adversity is. It is still a moment in time that you were able to overcome some kind of fear. You need to build on this feeling to allow yourself to know you can do it again.
2. The second tip is to refer your situation to others in your life who have been able to overcome adversity. Maybe their situation was much worse, but they were able to overcome it. Learn by their example.
3. The third tip on learning about developing confidence is to discuss your insecurity with someone that you know well and trust. Have them tell you what you can improve and take their answers to heart and not defense.
4. The fourth tip is to just smile when you are in a scary situation. Take a deep breathe and make yourself take that first step. Just taking the first step to face a hard situation can sometimes give you the confidence to float right through it.
5. The fifth tip is to visualize yourself succeeding in everything you do. Even if you are visualizing just one aspect of conquering your fear, this can be a major boost to your confidence building.
6. The sixth tip to developing confidence is to think about somebody that is the same gender as you, that you highly admire. Somebody that you look up and would like to be like. Try to think about how they would react to a situation and do that reaction yourself in your own situation. Try to be that person by acting on their characteristics in order to get you through your circumstance.
7. The seventh tip is to use self-talk. Keep telling yourself that you are strong enough to conquer anything. This is very powerful.
