The days of using 35mm film, capturing many images of delicate volatile samples only to find out you had a setting wrong, the lighting was incorrect or the film was too old and all the pictures that you had developed were bad is now pretty much a thing of the past. Purchasing a very expensive camera for a less expensive microscope will not produce the image you desire. The same is also applicable in reverse. An underpriced camera will not compliment an excellent image from a quality microscope.
