When you think of Thailand, most folks will think of Phuket with white sands, Bangkok with loads of shopping or Koh Phangan's well known beach full moon party. We will discover Thailand other better kept secrets.

Phuket today is much different than Phuket 10 to 15 years ago, the amount of holidaymakers have destroyed what once used to be a magnificent tropical Island, a lot vendors are only there to gain a fast baht and scams are happening to tourists on a regular basis. Phuket is quickly losing is glamour as a holiday heaven.

Nowadays there is a lot better Islands South of Phuket close to Trang which is very inexpensive compared to Phuket, scammers are no where to be found and you can relax on a beautiful beach without getting asked to ride a jet ski or anything else. Trang is growing fast as a popular tourist destination with its crystal clear waters, outstanding diving sites and simply just better all round experience. I know a lot of people who have traveled in Trang and no one person did not have a great time, so I can assure you that it is one of if not the best place to go in southern Thailand.

Hua Hin is well know for expats and Thai's but for some reason has been left out of a lot tour guides and tour agencies. Hua Hin is only a few hours drive from Bangkok, the air is clean, the streets are clean and so are the beaches. Hua Hin beach has white sands and the water is crystal clear and is never packed with people. It is like the forgotten beach of Thailand. The nightlife does not have much but Hia HIn is great if you need to relax on a beautiful beach.

Bangkok will always be the best place to shop in Thailand but Chiang Mai a close second, Chiang Mai is in Northern Thailand and the shopping experience is a little different then bangkok. Chiang Mai have slightly different handiworks and most of the handiworks are much better quality than Bangkok. With the Hilltribes in Chiang Mai you can also hike the mountains and spend a few nights with them. Chiang Mai has a lot of nature and while it might be the second biggest city in Thailand, it has so much nature surrounding it that a 30 min drive can take you close to nature.
