Metal scissors Welding machine Instructions: 1. Initially, choose what type of trailer you require and what size. Use the tape measure and measure the size that you want to help you assess the amount of materials that you will need. You should frame out your trailer using angle iron that must be cut and welded to create the frame. 2. Next, use a pencil to sketch the plan on metal sheets which should be derived from your prior measurements. Use a metal scissors to cut out the designs you traced on the metal sheeting. 3. Weld the parts together ensuring that no openings are left between them. 4. Install the axle. It should be placed in the centre of the wheels. Where you put the axle on the trailer is based on how you want the trailer to work. If you want it to tilt backwards, then the axle should be set up close to the centre of gravity. 5. Affix the wheels on the axle. 6. The tongue must now be connected to the trailer. It contains a hand wheel, a coupler and a latch. Turn the trailer upside down and weld the coupler firmly to the body of the trailer using the welding machine. Weld the tongue beams in the similarly. 7. Affix a latch to the frame of the trailer to help when connecting the trailer to another vehicle for moving. 8. Take your tape measure and measure two pieces of 35" x 18" metal sheeting and cut with metal scissors. Take each sheet and measure 4" from one end and make a mark there on both sides. Weld the forward spring hanger to the front of the overhanging angle iron. 9. Next, measure 6" from the free end and indicate again. Bend the sheet at this measurement and this will be welded at the particular mark to the rear of the overhang. 10. To make the flooring of the trailer, measure the length of the trailer and cut the boards using handsaw to fit the size. Mark where each board join the iron of the trailer body underneath and make a mark using pencil on each board. Indicate on the iron as well. Use drill to bore holes both in the iron and the board and then use screwdriver and long screws to fasten the position. Tips: Paint the trailer to make it more appealing.
