Download BlazBlue Calamity Trigger Portable ISO For PSP

Once the initial BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger launched the current generation consoles last year, I flipped out. A hyper-stylized 2D fighter from Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works, BlazBlue had it all: beautiful visuals, rockin 'tunes, awesome characters and some seriously entertaining games mechanics. I had a blast playing the original BlazBlue, and now the game - which was one of my favorite modern fighters - makes it all too familiar jump to the PSP.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable is a pretty straight-forward port of the original PS3 games, with a few notable differences. Although phenomenal gameplay has been admirably recreated on Sony laptops were some dramatic (and perhaps inevitable) victims to images and sounds en route. This is a blow for BlazBlue fans like me who was so fond of the sensational character sprites, but at least the game runs well.

For a more detailed analysis of gameplay mechanics, so be sure to read my review of the original BlazBlue. But for those seeking a more accurate assessment, then read on.

A world of BlazBlue is stylish and in many cases Outlandish. Service List consists of a glacial knight Lolita vampire, energetic cat girl, top hat-clad puppeteers and more. Part of the charm of the game is what the ARC System Works does best: design crazy characters who are super fun to play.

Each character has a weak, medium and strong attacks, and a character-specific attacks Doing that usually requires some practice outside of the basics, all characters share. Ragna, for example, uses his Drive attack, Soul Eater, that not only damage his opponent, but also absorb a portion of their lives on his own. Noel, on the other side. Can string together a series of combinations with the push of a button

Although BlazBlue roster is not nearly as great as other modern fighters, the unique gameplay mechanics of each character makes the game exciting and truly entertaining. It would be difficult for a fighting game fan not to find at least one character to fall in love with, and the actual battles are fast and tight. PSP handles BlazBlue extremely well, without any noticeable change in how the characters feel in relation to the console version.

Although most of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable content is identical to its console counterpart, there is a new mode included, plus a special shop. The new fashion, Legion, presents players with a series of nodules occupied by enemies. Players must defeat enemies to promote and to capture a point, they may accept one of the enemies in their own ranks.

I originally thought Legion fashion was just being a hole selling point to make it portable BlazBlue more appetizing, but it's actually a much more potent than I expected. Works through enemy points and try to keep your characters alive is a real challenge.

Legion fashion, and all the other game modes, more satisfactorily with the addition of "BlazeyBloo" Shop. Almost everything you do in BlazBlue PSP earns you points. These points can be used at the store to buy specific illustrations Unlimited versions of characters, and much more. I always appreciate a game that gives players some control in how they earn their rewards, so this store was a nice addition indeed.

But of course, to put a PS3 game on the PSP will require sacrifice. The most obvious changes is the game's graphics, which is almost hard to look at when compared to the PS3 version. Character sprites are incredibly jagged and the once pristine detail in BlazBlue is now difficult to see. Even small icons on the screen is difficult to read. The smaller screen also makes the battle feel more congested because HUD is narrow.

BlazBlue's sound has also taken a serious dive. The awesome soundtrack is not as sharp as it should be, and voice clips can sound bad. Moreover BlazBlue PSP takes longer to load than playing on a console, although the game is installed on your PSP.

Fortunately, most of the controls seem solid, although I found that some D-pad rotational moves were more difficult to implement on the handheld. Takes the Emerald tager Buster, for example, is too difficult to pull off. The technique requires only two 360 rpm, but I could just move to carry out with three. This could be a fluke, but it was still frustrating.

Although there is Ad Hoc multiplayer, there's no online multiplayer to speak of, and replay feature is also absent. These are unfortunate cuts, both of which were big parts of BlazBlue PS3. At Ad Hoc functionality is acceptable, although I observed delay in control when testing it out. And we all know how dangerous lag can be when dealing with a fighting game that requires precise button inputs.
