Having twice been voted the friendliest European city, and home to a range of iconic literary and musical figures, Dublin is a thriving modern metropolis with an intriguing historical past. Originally a Viking settlement, the Irish capital has evolved into a place thats simply bursting with energy and vibrancy. Theres a stunning selection of sights to soak up and activities to experience, making it an exciting destination to head to. Situated along the east coast of Ireland, at the mouth of the River Liffey, the city offers up some of the most breathtaking views in the country: these are made all the more spectacular when observed from one of Dublins 24 beaches. In addition to the scenery, theres also a great range of shopping experiences to be had, bars to explore and attractions to see. No trip to Dublin would be complete without experiencing the Guinness Storehouse. Cited as Irelands top tourist attraction, its the perfect way to check out the countrys self-proclaimed finest offering, Guinness.
