About Dubuque Dental Associates: Dubuque Dental Associates opened in 1969. Dr. Brett Kilburg and Dr. Melanie Stuntz are the primary dentists today following the retirement of Dr. Heyo Tjarks. Dr. Brett Kilburg is a native of Epworth, IA and completed both his undergraduate degree and his DDS degree from the University of Iowa. Before joining the dental team at Dubuque Dental Associates, he practiced for two years at Anamosa Dental Associates after graduation in 2003. Dr. Melanie Stuntz graduated from the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry in 2006. Having grown up in eastern Iowa, Dr. Stuntz was excited to return to the area to practice and joined Dubuque Dental Associates in the summer of 2006.
