Your body, like a car, needs fuel. The higher quality fuel you put in, the higher quality output you will receive. The fuel, in this case, would be the food and drink you put into your body. So, common sense would tell you that the more junk you eat, the less energetic you are going to feel and vice versa. So, what is the solution? As you can see, it's easy, eat higher quality foods. Go back to the old days where all they had was fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats. If they could pick it, grow it, or kill it, they ate it. This is something we have gotten away from, over the decades, and we need to get back to it.All of those processed and packaged foods, along with fast foods, that we eat on a daily basis are killing our bodies. The chemicals, toxins, and preservatives are eating away at our very livelihood. In many cases, this type of eating actually makes your body forget how to process food properly; Type 2 Diabetes is a perfect example of this. If you go back to eating organic, natural foods, your body begins to process foods properly and distribute energy where necessary. Now, this is not an overnight process. You cannot change years of habits overnight, nor will you feel 100% by tomorrow, so be patient. Start by replacing one or two meals or snacks a day with natural foods rather than canned and packed foods. Do this for a couple of days and move on to the next meal or snack. Within a matter of weeks you will have replaced all of your meals with healthful foods. You may or may not be feeling better yet, but you will soon. Now, on top of this, try eating smaller portions 5-6 times a day rather than larger portions three times a day. This also helps your body break down vitamins and minerals and distribute them appropriately.We are all so busy these days, with work, kids, extracurricular activities, that this may seem nearly impossible, but it is not. Prepare a menu for the week, grocery shop from this menu, and prepare your food by the week or the evening before. This eliminates the time you spend at meal time preparing your food, making it much easier to eat on the go. If you focus on these healthy eating habits, you will notice a big difference in the way you feel. Not only that, but you will increase your chances of having good health for a much longer period of your life; basically you increase your quality of life by the quality of food you give you body.
