An effective affiliate program can be the lifeblood of your business
. Not only the members who send traffic and sales, but provide inbound links and good public relations for you in the market.
1. Clear registration process. Write a description of your affiliate program that talks about what you sell, to whom and what you expect from an affiliate. I say to the types of tools that offer to them in order to maximize potential sales.
Make it easy for them to sign up. And that is easy for them to sign the membership area to provide a link to the affiliate area directly on the subscription page.
2. Step by step training program. Most people who enroll in the program is new in affiliate marketing. They liked the product so registered. Now it's up to you to teach them to market their programs - and any other affiliate product.
Assume they know nothing and start with the basics in a sequence of automatic response. Tell them about each of their products - which describe a week. Tell them about the tools they provide and how to use them in your marketing efforts. Show them how to read and interpret statistics.
Although industry statistics indicate less than 5% of members actually do anything, you do not want it to be descriptive of its affiliates. Educate them!
3. Ongoing communication. In addition to the automatic response stream educational emails, consider a monthly update to members. In this you can offer advice from other members - or customer testimonials to use in your marketing messages.
Consider a monthly tele-seminar with you. You'll find it makes for a closer relationship and will have direct input on what they need. It will give you ideas about what is best to create or provide for them and their market.
4. Easy to use affiliate tools. Standard tools include banners, graphics, emails, and articles. Be sure to include your affiliate link in each of these to be a simple copy and paste operation. Best sales subsidiaries are busy, so respect their time and make their tools "no brainers."
5. Timely payments. Nothing goes faster than a participant does not get paid on time. The sooner they are paid after the sale, the more likely it is to send a new promotion on their behalf. It is encouraging to see get a check or money deposited in your PayPal account.
And do not limit the payment to payments for sales only. Contests, prizes and rewards are significant, too. So I wonder what would make their work more fun for members - then give it to them!
