Eight Word Evaluation That Will Change Your Life

Are you resisting or contemplating becoming healthier or stuck and finding it challenging

to change the habits that keep you where you are in your life right now? What you are about to read will help you to discover where you are at in your life and what is required to be unstuck. Self awareness and balance is important for change and success in life and work.

Here are some simple yet very important questions:

* What is stopping me from becoming healthier?

* Where do I want to be a year from now?


* What do I need to do to achieve a healthier lifestyle?

* What will it cost me if I don't change my lifestyle 10 years from now?

* Who will this affect if I don't change my lifestyle?

* Who am I right now?

* Where am I sabotaging myself?

* What are the pros and cons?

These are very important and empowering questions. You might have come up with your own questions. Now, take out a pen and paper and try to answer them now before reading on...

If you are resisting change then these words may not help you, but if you are contemplating - meaning, I see change on the horizon, then this will help you. This is an amazing evaluation to see where your imbalances are.

Self Evaluation:

Now with each word I want you to rate yourself from 1 to 10 - one being not good and 10 being exactly where you want to be with this part of your life. Make sure you are honest.

Let's start:

Exercise - out of 10, where are you with exercise? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Hydration - out of 10, where are you with drinking water? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 (a good gauge is drink half you body weight in ounces. If you are 100lbs, you should be drinking 50 ounces.)

Nutrition - out of 10, where is your nutrition at? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Unhealthy habits - out of 10, where are your unhealthy habits? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Weight Management - out of 10, how satisfied are you with your weight? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Sleep/Rest - out of 10, what is your sleep or rest like? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Happiness - out of 10, how happy are you? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Fun & Recreation - out of 10, how satisfied are you with fun and recreation? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

What did this evaluation tell you? When I did it, my awareness to where my weak points were amazed me. It puts our lifestyle into perspective. It tells us what our weaknesses and strengths are, and what we need to work on.

What else does it tell us? It shows us that our life is out of harmony or out of balance. If your answers were all 8's our lives would be that much less stressful and more satisfying? Would you agree that our work and personal lives would prosper?

What is the next step now?

Out of the eight words, which one jumps out at you that you want to work on in the next week? Is it unhealthy habits? If it was, personally, I would pick one food to stop eating in the next week. Baby steps!

Now pick one word and ask yourself, if I could take one baby step without failing - I will say again - without failing in the next week to bring that part of my life up just one number, what would I do? Remember this is a baby step and you can't fail. The challenging part of changing habits is we bite off more than we can chew and end up failing. It takes one step at a time. Have you come up with one? Great!

Are you willing to do this? Commitment is needed for change, change is needed for growth. It will be challenging at times, but you can do it.
