. One of those area that must be covered is the cleaning of it. You are a good cleaner so you can do it just as well if not better than any professional cleaner. So why would you want to part with a load of cash to a cleaning company when you are quite capable of doing this simple task yourself?

There are a number of good reasons why you might want to bring in a dedicated end of tenancy cleaning company.

Many letting agents and landlords, especially in London place clauses in their contracts which mean you have to bring in a cleaning company to carry out an end of tenancy clean in order to secure your deposit.

With the cleaning having to be done right at the end of your tenancy agreement it is highly likely that you just do not have the time to complete a clean yourself.

Quite often you as the tenant will have had to move away because of work and more likely than not be in a different town when it comes time to carry out the cleaning.

It may be in your tenancy agreement that regardless of their condition you must have the carpets professionally cleaned and also the oven.

In order to ensure that your deposit is returned intact the apartment or house has to go through an inventory check and an inspection of its condition. If you happen to be in a house then this deposit could be in the region of a few thousand pounds.

Having taken the decision to spend some money to secure your deposit you have hired in a cleaning company. This cleaning company you have engaged must be able to carry out all the cleaning tasks you require from the thorough clean of the bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge and kitchen to cleaning the carpets and ovens. You have to spend time searching for this company and you do not want to spend additional time and making appointments for three separate firms to arrive at your property at different times. One to do the cleaning, one to clean the oven and yet a third to carry out the carpet cleaning. There are many end of tenancy cleaning companies that can carry out all the cleans required in the first visit.

Cleaning companies that are able to provide you with general cleaning, carpet cleaning and oven cleaning all in the same visit are going to be much cheaper than the combined total of the three specialist ones.

You also need a company which brings in all of its own equipment, materials and cleaning chemicals. It may be that you are especially environmentally conscious and require only environmentally friendly chemicals to be used. In which case this should be one of the questions asked before you engage them to carry out your cleaning.

It is possible to save quite a lot of money in these cleans by hiring a maid agency type company to do the cleaning. There are problems associated with this namely you will have to supply the cleaners with all the cleaning equipment and chemicals and then be on site to direct them throughout the clean. Afterwards you will still have the problem of getting your carpets and oven cleaned and have that additional expense as mentioned previously.

A cleaning company that operates a dedicated team of end of tenancy cleaners will in all likelihood be slightly more expensive than a general cleaning company but they will be highly skilled in what they do and used to meeting the demands of such cleans knowing the standards they have to meet.

Finally if it is at all possible it is best if you can be present as the clean comes to its conclusion so that you can check. All good companies will ask if this is possible. However if it is not possible then if you have chosen wisely in the first place then you can be safe in the knowledge that at least that part of the process of getting your deposit back has been in good hands.
