We are now entering into an era where technology is going back to the basics of using indigenous materials to produce new products

. Noticeably, science is become more aware of the importance of preserving nature rather than destroying it. Science used to be so impulsive in assuming that its discoveries can better replace what nature has begun. It discovered electricity when there was the sun they could look up to. It discovered the vehicles when there were horses to use during those days.

Giving these as examples doesnt mean that we are against new discoveries. In fact new discoveries are made everyday, some are known and useful and many are just plain new things which may never be useful at all. These discoveries have helped improve the lives of men and we owe it to science. What we failed to look in to during those times that these new things were introduced was how these would affect nature. Now we are reaping what we have sown when we look at the havoc that many of these discoveries have brought.

We can mention some few classic examples of how these new discoveries have brought to our environment. There is the pollution that the use of basic transportation has contributed to the air because of the use of fossil fuel. There are very few discoveries that you can rightfully claim that it has no bad effect to nature or to men, but, sometimes, even the most basic of medicines have been found to have deadly side effects to mankind.

Now upon realizing that our most reliable life provider may also become our deadliest enemy nature, we tend to go back to the most basic of basics. Men starts to rediscover how it is to use nature as it is supposed to be used in alignment to what science has achieved so far. We see that there are a lot of products that is claimed to be organic, which means all natural. Ads in the past used to flaunt new products with artificial additives and claim to have the latest discoveries in food preservation, but we are now beginning to realign ourselves with the natural sources as more healthy than those with artificial ingredients. We are going back to the use of sun and wind power to supply us with energy. It is ironic to find out that all the efforts we have had in the past to improve mans life have all gone with the wind.

We have already discovered the use of sail boats before but we improved it to use steam engines instead. We were already using wind energy and yet the over supply of this natural source was not used to the maximum because men wanted discover what was scarce before which was the black gold we call oil. Scarcity is what commands a higher price in marketing. It would have been a lot better when men developed the use of wind power and the sun power with whatever resources they had before rather than researching so much on what was the unknown. What I am driving at is that if we could have just focused our attention on what was abundant, we would have not been driven into what we have right now, a devastated environment.

It is not too late to reconsider our position with regard to the use of our natural resources. Science as you see it has now returned to its natural course. What used to be moving forward attitude when it comes to discovering things, it is now the opposite, and it is a going back to nature. Thanks to global warming because it has brought us to realization that not all resources are free to use at whim.

Many might argue as to the authenticity of the global warming issue. Some may say that it is just a marketing hype of some organization to increase product awareness of whatever product that maybe. I would say that no matter what their stand is, we are witnesses of how catastrophes are affecting a lot of nations all over.
