Explanation about Conductivity and Electricity

The conductors of electricity are devices or even things that can be used to transmit electric power from one to another. The ability of the thing to transmit the electricity is called as conductivity. Electricity power or commonly said as current can flow on liquids such as water, materials or gases whose composition offers the flow continuously and sometimes limit the current to definite quantities.

The current is measured and the unit of the current commonly called as Ampere. Ampere is found by a France scientist, Andre Ampere (1775-1836). An ampere of the current is the representation of the quantity of the electron that flows from one point to another which has equal value as one Coulomb. Current is symbolizes as I for the intensity and A for the ampere.

Kirchoff's Laws:

The German scientist,Gustav Kirchhoff (1824 - 1887), found a formula for two important rule relating electric circuit. Nowadays, these rules are known as Kirchoff's Lawsand. It can be formulated as follows:

1. The sum of current (currents) which flows out from one junction of an electric circuit is equal to the sum current (current) that flows into that junction.

2. The sum of the voltage drops across the resistance of a circuit is equal to the power source of the voltage around any closed the same circuit.

Conductor

Every substance does not have the same conductivity level because they have different numbers of its free electrons. This electrons' number depends on the smallest structure of the substance, which is atom. Even metals have different conductivity level, some of them provide better conductivity and the others provide average conductivity. This condition is caused by the resistance of the substance. Resistance is the opposition of the current flow. The unit of this resistance's measurement is called as OHM which is taken from the German professor George Ohm (1787-1854). The Resistance is symbolized as R while for OHM is omega (Greek symbol).
