From the geo-thermal areas to the beaches and now to the lakes, Lake Taupo is another must see area an possibly one of the most beautiful regions you will encounter. Walks in New Zealand should definitely take in a hike along the shoreline and into the eclectic town of Taupo itself to explore.

Youll still find some hot springs here, but there is arguably nothing better than a stroll around the shores of the lake, appreciating the stunning scenery around you at every turn.
