Thank God for poverty, death, pain, sickness, disease, confusion, and depression. Where would I be without them? Have you ever noticed how God seems to slip your mind when you are up and running. Isn't is amazing how so many people find God at the end of their road and then leave him when they find their new beginning. We are all guilty of calling out to God when we think our world is about to cave in on top of us only to slip back into the same old behavior that caused the cave in. Why do we do this? What can we do to love God all the time regardless of the circumstances?

We must develop a full time, real time relationship with him. We must know that he is God, our Lord and Savior, our Creator, the one God that is with us through the good and the bad. We must understand that God is not a genie in a box that can be called on or summoned up when we are breaking his laws and living contrary to his ordinances. We must obey him all the time. We must take the Bible seriously and do whatever we can to fulfill our holy mission in life.

I have personally been so guilty of forgetting God when everything is going smooth. Of course I still pray and read my Bible, but it is not the same kind of devotion and dedication I would have if I were on the skids. It has taken me a long time to figure all of this out and put it into practice. I have learned a hard lesson.

There are consequences to sin. You can not and will not escape the harsh reality of sin. It will always catch up with you. The world is full of sin; running over with it. The opportunity to sin is everywhere. Some sins have become a part of the fabric of our society. They are even considered the norm by some. Is it possible not to sin? The answer is no. You will sin over and over again because you are human. But thank God for Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and paid the price for our sin on the cross.If only we believe and continue to follow and keep the message of the Gospel. Remember you are saved by faith and not by works least any man should boast.

My life has been a series of failures and disappointments. At times I wanted to give up, but somehow I kept on going and here I am. If any of you are confused or afraid just ask God to wrap his arms around you and show you the way. Believe that he will and don't let anything or anyone tell you any different. Take my word for it. God is who he says he is and he won't let you down.
