Instead of not having the lighting at all, or paying for batteries, chargers, or money to the utility company, the light applied to the flexible solar strip lighting is completely free of charge - courtesy of the sun's rays. Maintenance on solar energy collectors is minimal. Warranties run about 25 years on average, but the solar collectors often last much longer than that - from between 40 to 80 years.
