There are some great foods that build muscle out there besides just chicken and beef. Here's just a few: 1) Olive oil. I know what you're thinking- how is olive oil one of these foods that help build muscle? Because olive oil helps reduce inflammation in the body, which leads to improved muscle recovery. Another thing is olive oil produces hormone-like substances that increase testosterone levels and contributes calories, putting your body into an anabolic state. The healthy fats in olive oil don't hurt either! 2) Pasta. Of the foods that build muscle I'm talking about here, this is one you definitely have to avoid eating too much of. In reasonable quantities though, it's great! Pasta is a great muscle building food because it has tons of carbs, which increase the efficiency at which your protein makes its way into muscles to promote growth. So without eating enough carbs, the protein you're eating can't really do its job. Just make sure not to eat too much of this stuff, too many carbs usually becomes fat! 3) Whole milk. This stuff is packed full of protein and fat, at about 16 grams found in 16 ounces. The fat in milk is made up of shorter chains than in most foods. These shorter chains tend to help prevent
