Known for more than 100 years, Ford has been a well-established automaker selling

vehicles around the world and was ranked eighth amongst the American based companies in the 2010 Fortune 500 list. Ford has gifted the technology of producing the vehicles in masses to the world and this has helped the company itself to be on the top of the list of automakers around the world. However, presently Ford ranks second largest auto manufacturer in U.S. in terms of annual sales. Despite the automotive crisis in 2009, Ford still has a strong hold and good sales in the global market.

The company is aiming for a better future in the coming years and the progressive steps are already generating benefits for the company. With three of its main car models, Focus, Fiesta and Fusion, the company has been awarded with numerous awards, valuable reviews and great appreciation from the customers. The 2011 Ford Focus and Fiesta has been received the award of being one of the top 10 coolest cars according to the survey done by Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com. Even though the company has been cutting off in resources and staffs for reviving the company's image, Ford has still shown keen interest in developing green vehicles. In fact the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid has also been awarded as one of the top 10 green cars while the gasoline version of the same received the award of the most dependable midsize car by J.D. Power and Associate in US.
