Foreign Businesses In China

More and more foreign businesses are attempting to tap into the Chinese market since its economic reforms in 1978

. And with its rapidly growing economy and gigantic population as potential market boosters, one of Asias most powerful countries is still one of the best places for business.

Recent events prove that foreign businesses can succeed in China. According to a report from the China Daily, American airline companies are currently increasing and improving the flights offered in the Asian country in order to recover from the setbacks it suffered due to the recent economic downturn. The report said that China is the world's fastest growing commercial aviation market.

Even a company down under has also hit the jackpot in China. In a recent report from the Xinhua News Agency, an iron ore company based in Australia currently enjoys good business within the Chinese market. With China as its major customer, the company is hoping to reach its target of 40 million tons of iron ore exports in the country for this year.

Expensive goods such as vehicles appear to sell like hotcakes in the worlds fastest growing economy. Automakers from Europe are positive about their business for luxury cars among the Chinese.

"A lot of people are getting rich very, very quickly and they are willing to spend on the most luxurious goods, whether that is watches or luxury cars," said Raymond Tsang of Bain & Company, in a report by the Agence France-Presse.

According to the report, sales of luxury cars in China have grown in the past years and the automobile market in the country continues to emerge as the worlds largest.

A great time for business

For experts, its not yet too late to do business in China. "Are we too late? Absolutely not. Is China a bad place for foreign companies? Absolutely not. It is much easier than it was five or 10 years ago," according to US businessman Tom Melcher in a report by the Asia News Network.

"Those who have patience, and who invest time and create friendships are the ones who are successful," advised German businessman Manfred Grundt in a report by Deutsche Welle. "One thing is for sure in the People's Republic of China: the Chinese are proud business people."
