Let me start by calling your attention to a common saying in our society which says that, "the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer."Is this statement really true? Yes, indeed. The reason this is the case is: the rich keeps getting richer, because they keep doing the things that got them to be rich in the first place, while the poor keeps getting poorer for the same reason. They keep on doing the things that got them poor in the first place. Are you surprised? Think about these things! People who succeed, succeed for specific reasons while people who fail, fail for certain reasons also. Again, people who succeed have specific habits that they adhere to every day, on a consistent basis while people who fail have the habits that they consistently follow, too.

Let us consider the four vital steps to success, if strictly adhered to.

You must be willing to change. This is the basic step to success. If doing the same things that you have been doing can actually make you rich, then you should have been very rich by now. The bottom line is that, you need to change your approach. One thing that is consistent in life is change and most people are afraid of a change. The truth is change is a necessity. Life is about change, nothing ever stays the same; that is why you are no longer in diapers at your age.

You must decide to take action. The reason why most people never accomplish anything of significance is because they never take the first step. You must make a decision to do something because this is another step towards success. It is quite amazing how so many people will talk; talk about doing something different or new, but never take action. The second thing that most people are afraid of, in my opinion, is the ability to venture into a new thing. We all hate to leave our comfort zone; that is why it is hard to bring ourselves to taking that very first vital step.

Keep moving, don't stop! Once you realize you need to change, and once you make that decision to change, and once you take that first step, don't stop! Keep moving forward and forging ahead. The basic truth is that all success is built on past failure, so you will have failure; every successful person does.

Find a mentor or a proven system. A mentor and a proven system has everything laid out for you. Proven plan for you to follow. Common sense says follow a proven system that works, and has been proven to work. Why try to re-invent the wheel? Learn from someone else's failure. This is where very many people who come into any industry fail; they want to do it their own way. When they fail, they get discouraged and claim the system does nor work and then they quit. Remember, learn from your mistakes, don't quit, and keep going. Success never rewards quitters.
