Go Small Cities, or Big Cities

"Last night I was troubled by a mouse for whole night, I was so unlucky" one of my colleagues said when she came to the office.

Many of our colleagues come from other small cities and rent a house here. They are living together with their friends or classmates, with one room costing USD400- 500 per month.

More and more statistical evidence suggests that the younger adults have a tougher struggle to live well compared with their counterparts of just a few years ago. Due to the unemployment pressure and city's high housing costs, people' living space is smaller and smaller. Moving back to live with parents is fast becoming very normal.

Still, young adults swarm to the city, especially those eager to pursue careers in big cities. There more job chances in big cities. In order to live in a low-costing house, they have to change bus several times in every early morning to their office. "This is the price you have to pay in big city. To have what we want, you have to suffer a bit" they said.

"I could have lived at home, in a giant room with a closet," Lisa said. "But it's so much fun to live in the big city. You have to make sacrifices to live here. If you want to be in big city, it means a smaller apartment and put your clothes and life necessities under your bed sometimes."

Then some people are also thinking about where they should go - small cities, or big cities?In big cities, it means too many roommates, no elevator, not enough light, sporadic heating; live in cheap apartment, competitive pressure, traffic jamsIn small cities, it means dull social life, fewer job possibilities, farther from fashion.
