GoNOLA Recommends: 5 Things to do in New Orleans this Weekend
While the Carnival Season started a while back on Twelfth Night, Mardi Gras is really starting to get into gear this weekend in the French Quarter. Many locals treat Saturday night's Krewe du Vieux as kind of a primer for the string of parades, flying beads, and general revelry in the streets that will follow for the next two weeks. So gear up, get out to the Quarter, wear comfortable shoes, and catch some mind blowing music on the way.
