Justin Bieber has cut his famous locks. The tween heartthrob has traded his signature mop-like hairdo for a shorter, messier cut. His hairstylist Vanessa Price unveiled his new haircut on Twitter Monday.

While on the set of his music video with Rascal Flatts, Bieber had his little trim, officially parting from his iconic crown.

The 16-year-old Canadian singer said on Twitter, "yeah so it's true i got a lil haircut i like it and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction. Details coming soon."

The hair that was cut has been collected and will be distributed to a few organizations for charity, according to TMZ, which is also getting a lock, planning to use it to raise money for animal charities.

He told the website that he was a little nervous about his new hairdo, but he "wanted to change it up" and he thought it was "kind of a mature look."

The 30-year-old reality star worked with the teen singer on a photo shoot last year and was recently asked about his decision to cut off his famous locks into a shorter style.

She said: 'I have seen his new haircut, it's really cute.'

The star was attending her fragrance launch at Macy's in Glendale, CA, and said her new boyfriend Kris Humphries is a fan of the new perfume.

She said: 'He loves my fragrance. I wear it all the time, so he likes my scent.'

Kardashian added that the perfume took a long time to develop as she's so fussy about what she wears.
