The need for cardiovascular exercise does not diminish because people get older
. The need increases, especially as other changes to the body occur. People may find that they need slightly more exercise as they get older. Even though older people need cardiovascular exercise even more than younger people, it is sometimes harder for them to get. -Walking: Many different people will tout the benefits of walking. It can be done virtually anywhere. It does not require any equipment, and can be done by people of many different health levels. It can be practiced virtually anywhere. The walker can enhance his experience by buying certain equipment.
-Water Aerobics. Water aerobics are also intended to be low impact exercises. The cushioning effect of the water allows participants to perform feats that they may not be able to perform safely on dry land any more.
-Jogging: Jogging works well for people who still fill that they can run. It is higher impact than the other exercises on this list.
The benefits of a regular cardiovascular workout do not appear overnight. An individual must stick with the program if he wants to see any benefit from it. He will eventually see increased energy and renewed vigor. The first couple of days he may need to take care so that he does not overdo it. If he does overdo it, he will pay for it the next day.
