The renewable sources of energy are those, which are abundant in nature and would never end but the nonrenewable sources are those, which would end. Due to shortage of nonrenewable sources of energy, the use of renewable sources of energy is becoming popular. Of all the renewable sources solar and wind power are used the most. The wind and solar power for home is helping people to become self-dependent.

Wind energy and solar energy is environment friendly because in generation of electricity from them no harmful chemicals are released. Using wind power for home, we can get rid of paying electricity bills and power cuts. With new technology, the generation of wind power from wind turbines has increased.

On the other hand, the most popular and well-known renewable source of energy is solar energy. The energy received from sun using solar cells and photovoltaic modules is converted to electricity. To meet home electricity requirement solar power is the best renewable source of energy. Home solar power generation with new inventions has become much easier. Installation cost for this is quite costly but with home solar power generation kits, it has become much cheaper. These two sources of energy can do wonders for those remote areas where electricity has not reached yet. Mostly in underdeveloped and developing countries, this will prove the best source of energy provider. This will help in development of those areas also. When wind power for home is combined with solar power, the power generation will become more efficient. In this case, when it would be a bright sunny day solar power generation will take place and when it would be a windy or stormy day then wind power generation will take place. Wind power generation mostly takes place in countryside and far off remote places but solar power generation is used in cities also. With slight modification, the houses can be made solar powered home. In fact, every wise citizen should step ahead and choose renewable power generation to save earth from pollution.
