Homeownership Boost For Cheshire House Hunters From Bovis Homes

House hunters in the North West have received a boost to their chances of finding

affordable new homes in Cheshire thanks to a deal between Bovis Homes and Cheshire East Council, which makes three new two-bedroom cottages at the Brook Valley development in Congleton available with a special Local Home Ownership Scheme.

The lucky owners who qualify for the scheme can pick up one of these new properties for just 70% of their market value - 103,250. Local house hunters who would like to know more about the scheme should contact the housebuilder straight away to find out more, as these new homes are not expected to be on the market very long.

"The scheme makes homes available to local people who are currently in housing need, which means living in unsuitable conditions and unable to afford housing at open market prices," says Bovis Homes Regional Sales Director Alison Tindle. "We're delighted to partner the council in this scheme and provide these lovely new homes. They are designed for modern, open-plan living and have our usual all-inclusive features - such as a fully-fitted kitchens with appliances and fitted wardrobes which means the buyer won't have all those budget-draining extra costs when they move in."

Brook Valley is a development featuring a superb mix of property types, making it suitable for a wide range of homebuyers. Prices start at just 89,995 for a one-bedroom apartment, rising to 294,995 for a five-bedroom detached home. One of these 'Melville' homes is the current show home on the site, a three-storey property with two en suite bedrooms, three further double bedrooms, large fully fitted kitchen, sitting room and dining room, definitely worth a visit to see for yourself the generous room sizes and quality interior specification.

As well as the new initiative in partnership with the Council, Bovis Homes also offers a comprehensive array of other assistance schemes to help homebuyers. First-time buyers might benefit from shared equity funding from the housebuilder's Jumpstart scheme or the national FirstBuy initiative. The company also offers its exclusive Perfect 10 mortgage, with a 95% mortgage product promised soon. Existing homeowners might like to part exchange their home in order to simplify the moving process.

Congleton is ideally situated just a few minutes from the M6 and is an ideal and sought-after base for commuters to Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester and Liverpool, with good road and rail connections to many other towns. It's also close to the perimeter of the Peak District National Park, making it a great place to live for anyone who enjoys the many outdoor activities offered there.
