However, there are certain disadvantages of owning a condominium that makes a house the best choice.

Although there are larger condominiums, these types are usually more expensive compared to buying a house which is larger and more accommodating. Monthly fees are also an issue. Most condominiums obligate their residents to pay an amount of money for the maintenance of the condominium as well as its security.

Townhouses are known for its luxury. Most townhouses in today's market are those found in big, luxurious complexes complete with high security and resort facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, and recreational parks. These, however, are much more expensive than a house.

Another advantage that houses have over townhouses, as well as condominiums, is that it gives its residents the rights to modify their house as they please from its interior to its exterior, whereas condominiums and townhouses, though individually owned, doesn't give its residents the right to modify its exterior.
