How Can You Get Rid Of Acne Scars?

If there is a loss of tissue, a depressed area can be seen on the skin's surface.

Most cases of extreme acne are seen in teenagers or young adults. The effects of acne can be socially and psychologically devastating to some people, especially in this age group. When scars result from acne, the result can be somewhat traumatic. It can lead to becoming socially inhibited, can create poor self-esteem due to image issues, and will create overall anxiety due to the way the person perceives how he or she looks. One does not have to live with acne scars forever. There are treatment options available. One such treatment is laser acne scar treatment. This is effective, but it is quite expensive. There are different types of lasers used: for instance, non-ablative lasers do not remove the epidermal layer and are safe to use. Pulse dye lasers can also remove the redness on acne scars. Fractionated lasers will remodel the scarred depression.

Acne scar creams can also be useful in acne scarring. A cream with cortisone can reduce inflammation and reduce the redness of the scar. Next, a cream for whitening hyperpigmentation issues can be used on the scar that is still visible. These over-the-counter lightening creams can make the scar look more natural but they can do nothing to build up any indentations on the skin.

Another good treatment for scars is using a dermal filler. These fillers will puff up the area of the indented scars, similar to the way they are used to fill in wrinkles. These fillers come in many forms such as various types of collagen, hyaluronic acid, fat cells, calcium hydroxylapatite, polymers and microscopic plastic beads.
