When you are selling products online on eBay, you should know that your item description matters very much and it can determine the outcome of your sales. If you have a poor description to your item, do not be surprised if you receive many messages from potential customers, wanting to know more about your auctions. You may feel that some of their questions are irrelevant and sometimes wonder if they have even looked at your auction listings. No matter what, always be polite and answer all their queries with the best of your knowledge as timely as you can.

When an eBay buyer has bought an item from you, always send an invoice of their purchase with details of how much they owe you. When you have sent out your item to be shipped to your buyer's location, always update them via email, the status of the item of when it was shipped and an estimated arrival of the package. If the shipping company provided a tracking number to your package, always share the tracking number with the buyer.

When your customer has received their packages, it is nice to do a follow up with them. Send them a personal note and ask them if they liked the items they have received. Of course, be sure to add a thank you note to thank them for doing business with you. By taking a few minutes of your time to thank your customers goes a long way and it will surely improve your communication with your customers. Many people are happy to receive such notes and they will surely do business with you again. A good impression is the key to a successful sale.

Think about it, if you are a buyer and there are two eBay sellers offering you similar items at the same price. One has a good feedback rating and the other, poor feedback. You will no doubt pick sellers with good feedback like all other eBay buyers do. By going the extra mile for your customers, it will help you build up a great reputation on eBay and many of your customers will return to shop with you again, thus, ultimately increasing your sales on eBay.
