. The most important thing to keep in mind is the trust you have in each other. Both trust and communication are crucial for keeping a marriage alive and well. There are things to be done to save marriage from divorce and to live happy together.

Listening to each other is so important if you want your relationship and marriage to work. Truly listen to what your partner has to say, and trust that you feelings will also be heard. Feeling as if your partner does value you and what you are saying is a great comfort, and it is necessary.

Try to be able to take blame onto yourself. Believe it or not, it takes two people to ruin a marriage and it also takes two to repair a marriage as well. A marriage is something that both partners need to work on, not just one person. Both partners need to be able to take blame if they have made a mistake. Even if you do not realize that you are causing a problem, it may very well be you.

When it comes to both partners in the relationship, both of you will need to come to the agreement that you both will need to give up some minor indulgences. You both have to come to the agreement that other person will want to participate in different activities, and that you will agree to let that person do those activities they like and not complain about going. Just remember to take turns, the next time the other person gets to do what they like.

If the problem is infidelity, than both partners need to figure if they can work past this obstacle and work on the marriage together. The relationship will not work if only one person is willing; both have to be trying for the sake of the marriage.

Try going to counseling together and see if both partners can talk their feelings out, to find some sort of agreement. Talk it out to see if you can get past this obstacle in the relationship and if you can, then start building the trust up between you both. Do not stay together for the children if children are involved. That will just make you both resent each other even more.

For two people in a relationship, especially a marriage, both of you need be willing to work on the relationship together. Be aware that there will be obstacles to overcome and want to be able to get over them. After getting over certain obstacles, you may find that you love each other ever more.
