Hello fellow frustrated dieter. You found this article because you are either a frustrated dieter or just looking to educate yourself. We're going to cover both here today by educating you therefore alleviating your frustration. The first thing you need to realize is dieting really isn't rocket science.

The basis of losing weight is to burn more calories than you ingest. The problem is that most of us were not raised that way. In fact, when I was growing up I was told I must eat everything on my plate. It didn't matter if you were full or not, if you didn't finish your plate you were wasting food. Remember being told, some kid in another country would love to have the food on your plate. That may be true however it didn't teach us how to eat properly and therefore we overate.So now we know that we are not trained properly as a child how to eat "healthy".

We didn't follow any meal plans or count calories. We had no clue about nutritional values of the foods we ate and neither did our parents and grandparents. Sure we might of heard from Popeye that spinach would make us strong but we didn't know why. They didn't even teach us about nutrition in school or the value of eating healthier foods. Have you seen what they serve in school cafeterias? So in your defense, it's not your fault right? Wrong.


You probably didn't want to hear that did you? Well, sometimes you have to hear it before you think about it. We as a society tend to blame others for our situations and we put priorities in the wrong order. Trying to break any habit is difficult, that is why it's called a habit. However, not all habits are bad and if you start good habits, you will feel better, look better and project a positive outlook on life in general. In fact you will find that if you fall out of your good habits, you will miss them just like you miss bad ones. So what is the solution?


Meal planning.

In today's world of always being in a hurry, we just don't plan our meals. In doing so we eat on the run or we just go through a drive through for convenience. What should be one of the important parts of our lives, we just don't seem to have time for. To be successful in anything in life, you need a plan. Also, we must educate ourselves for devising a this plan. Of course this takes time but isn't your health worth your time? One time in my life I had a family member who was diagnosed with a serious illness. In order to understand everything I did research, I searched for information in order to educate myself so I could understand the processes and what mat lay ahead in the future. I became somewhat of an "expert" in the field of this illness. The same method needs to be applied in anything you plan on doing.

So how do you find this information without spending hours researching it? There are a lot of experts out there and each one has their own opinion. Lets face it, the food companies want you to buy their products. Can you really trust them with their marketing campaigns and fancy packaging? I'll let you answer that yourself. The goal here is to be able to find an expert who actually practices what he preaches. Someone who actually has the knowledge and wants to pass it along to you. Someone to "empower you" and motivate you to change the way you eat on a daily basis. To teach you that just because that package says "low fat" or "low sugar" is it really what it says it is. If you were to read a label on the side of a cereal box, would you be able to interpret what is truly in it? Well now you can and you can even tell others if you so choose.

So here is your mission if you choose to accept it. Learn about meal planning and how you can change your life literally overnight when following it. Take the time out of your busy life to educate yourself about nutrition and health eating habits. The sooner you begin to follow a plan, the sooner you will lose weight naturally, without putting another foreign substance in your body. Your body will thank you for it, your mirror will become your friend and above all you will live a happier, healthy life. If you don't you might have to do what I had to do, research a serious illness. Become an expert in meal planning, not diseases.
