Important Data Regarding the New Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino

Cosmopolitan IS Now Open to Visitors of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino (affectionately also known as COSMO, our next door neighbor) expertly and officially opened their business on December 15th, 2010 at approximately 8:00 pm. Press groups were placed outside and Las Vegas Blvd. clamored with eagerness. The Grand Opening Function was held on December 31st, 2010. Popular music was actually jamming from the roof tops filling the Blvd. residents with the New Years Eve feeling. Cosmo has designed our Las Vegas Blvd. access sign with some landscape designs from the north door.

Self Auto parking is at the present offered for all Jockey Club owners and travellers. Level 3 B parking vicinity on the inside of Cosmo's 5 story underground parking structure is the proclaimed space for all Jockey Club vehicles. Level 3 B is the one level of the parking structure that the Jockey Club elevators are centrally located to approach your "home away from home". Immediately after Jockey Club owners park on the level 3B, you will take pleasure in using one of the two Jockey Club centrally placed on the north wall of the building specified and named elevators to the 1st floor or 2nd floor. Then travel to either the main foyer or pool deck (pool doors are key card admittance) area of the Jockey Club. These elevators will also access the Cosmopolitan's Casino location as they each open on the south to the north and vice versa.

As you may know the Cosmopolitan has invested approximately 8 million dollars into the Jockey Club to date. It all began with updating the Fire Safety System systems. Although we were code certified with fire safety, improvements were fundamental outcome of the close proximity of the new Cosmo. All common space and interiors of each suite was retrofitted with sprinklers, strobes and speakers for announcing possible emergencies. Up to date emergency generators as well as supplementary water tanks have been installed and all fire exiting has been redirected to the north drive. The water softening system tanks have been brought from underground to two giant above ground installations. Demolition of room or space no longer being used under our pool area deck has been undertaken.

The gas meters and electrical boxes have already been transferred to a more ideal location. The "team member only" behind-the-scenes movement space has been enhanced for more convenient admittance from building to building with linens and large cleaning accessories.

The computer operation for the inner workings of the Jockey Club was taken to the far west end of the Derby tower ground level. Cosmo has paid for the 24/7 Valet Parking service and the 2 years of overflow parking at the Planet Hollywood; however, Cosmo will cease paying for the Jockey Club Valet services upon the launching of the new resort. They have repaved the whole north drive with new blacktop. 75 daily pool passes have been provided for Jockey Club owners and guests to use on the main Bamboo pool and sun terrace area of the Cosmo as well as the two Jockey Club tennis surfaces which were moved to the Cosmo roof top. Certainly there are interesting points to look at in 2011.
