This will allow for several applications to be opened at once. Once again if the programs are graphically intensive, 8GB RAM may be more suitable for this kind of use.

Graphics card

This is important for any sort of business related to design, as it is likely that a lot of graphics programs will be in use. A decent graphics card is a must; however a good quality screen is essential too, in order to have a crisp clear image.

Optical drive

Many new models no longer have this feature as we are rapidly moving further towards everything being digital. It is however a very useful feature to have within a business, as another method of storing information on disc. If the model you want does not have this function, it is possible to purchase an external optical drive with a USB connection.
