It is now possible to purchase programs that are used specifically for data analysis, which can drastically decrease the amount of time spent searching for trends and the like.

Many of these programs will actually do this for you; all that is required from the user is inputting data. This means that people without data analysis skills are still able to complete a given task, just as long as they understand how to read what the program outputs. In other words, it is no longer necessary to hire an experienced data analyst that may require a large salary.

Perhaps the way technology has changed business the most is through CRM, or customer relationship management. Having a productive and good rapport with your customers is just as important now than ever, however it is also easier and more streamlined than it has been in the past.

Physical meetings are not as necessary as they used to be, as meetings can now be held online. The way you communicate with clients has changed as well, as email blasts and online press releases have all but replaced the need to set up conference calls.

Using CRM to your advantage can save your business both time and money, each being as valuable as the other in today's economy.
