2. Keep it Personal

Blogs are not meant to feel like a commercial website. Large corporations maintain a professional look and feel on their websites because of the corporate image and branding. Your blog, however, need to be engaging and personal. Speak from your personal experience and share your pain and gain freely so that your readers can relate to you. I highly recommend that you put a picture of yourself (or any decent portrait) on your blog to gain that personal feel for your subscribers. Don't put your favorite pet photo or an avatar image.
