Is Romance Missing in Your Master Bedroom?
In many master bedrooms all over this country there are a lot of things going on that get in the way of your romance.
Here are just a few.
1. It's where you fold the laundry.
2. It's where the kids and/or pets sleep.
3. It's where your computer is.
4. It's where you pay the bills.
5. It's where you keep the ironing board.
6. It's where you watch TV.
7. It's where you fight with your significant other.
And all these things get in the way of a quality relationship
But it is possible to retrain your self and get better.
All it takes is getting rid of all the distractions.
Turn your bedroom into a romantic spa that soothes you and helps you get in the mood to be together.
It's important to have a serene and luxurious bedroom. It has a direct effect on whether you get good quality sleep. And most of us, including the kids are seriously sleep deprived.
Part of it is having the best bedding. It's also important to have soft restful colors and soothing scents.
But the constant hum of electronics will get in the way of both good quality sleep and good quality loving.
So banish the distractions. Put the TV and the computer somewhere else, get the bills organized in good storage with office space away from your sanctuary. Put the kids and pets to bed early in their own rooms and start paying attention to your relationship.
We have nothing in our bedroom except a bed and 2 side tables with lamps. The main colors are whitewashed cedar, green slate floors covered with a light colored wool rug and restful art.
That's all. We don't even have dressers or chests of drawers. All clothing is in closets. I have a makeup table in a dressing room next to the bath. My sister's is in her walk in closet.
My ironing board is in the laundry room. Our computers are in an office along with all the bill paying and other paper work, set up in what many people use as a living room. Formal dining rooms also make good offices. A spare bedroom can work, too. Our TV is in our family room.
The pets and kids have their own sleeping spaces.
We all go to our rooms early, usually by 9 PM although if your children are young they should be in bed earlier.
As well as restoring the romance in your relationship, all of you will get more rest and be ready for tomorrow.
But the biggest advantage is that you have nothing else to distract you from each other.
Because of it you can reconnect emotionally as well as physically.
Viola! Romance lives!
