Why I support Nuru Ribadu For President of Nigeria

The choice of a candidate for the highest office in a country must not be based or emotions

, religion, ethnic, or tribal sentiments but on the love of the people, the needy and poor and future of coming generation and expectations of the country among the comity of nations.

As Nigeria prepares to go to the polls to elect or search for the President to lead the Nation like Moses to the "promised land" I searched in mind the facts that can influence my thinking in pitching my camp on a candidate that will be the best or meet my thinking on what a president can be for a nation of 150 million people in the South of Sahara.

dear friend, George Harvey, from Texas, a man Imet while I was in Waco Texas before we transferred our political discussions to Face Book asked me at one time to defend my preference for Barack Obama as President for the United States of America than John McCain of the Republican Party. George gave me 7 reasons why I should vote Republican; As a Democrat I gave him 17 reasons why I would not. In the end, Barack Obama won, the rest is now history. George has given me 7 reasons why Obama may not be re-elected. I have not given him any answer in this regards, but in my article "The Nation with short Memory" published on www.korlokinews.wordpress.com I gave a hint as to my direction.

President Goodluck Jonathan came to office through God's intervention, says Nigerians, like, they said, of former President Sheu Shagari was a God given candidate in 1979, one of the writers on Face Book said jokingly" what Nigerians failed to understand was if a goat was Vice President at the time President Yar'Adua died the goat would have been President as the constitution rightly stated that Vice President takes over in case the President dies" where is the policy of "necessity" as claimed by the National Assembly in allowing the constitution to be rightfully followed.

Nigerians believe too much in associating God with failures and successes, even when the same God has given them wisdom to think and work towards self development. We are too afraid to call a thief a thief in the public, we respect money and position more than the love of our people, and we look unto the rich like a semi-god instead of looking at how we can improve our environment. Nigeria cries in support of criminal going through the court process after a short while, which is the reason opinions in Nigeria is favoring the man that killed many people during General Sanni Abacha period as Head of State. Nigerians cried wolf when a former Inspector General of Police a thief was handcuffed in the public. Inside must Nigerians indeed have tendency to steal or cheat which was the opinion of General Colin Powel's years ago.

President Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Jonathan as he will like us to know him may end up like former President Olusegun Aremu Mathieu Obasanjo OBJ or former Military President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida IBB in thinking and manipulating Nigerians.

A man who was very reluctant to declare his asset as Vice President until the press was all over him and he has never declared his asset as President, a president who can not initiate action towards, Freedom of Information Bill FOI to expose corruption, to me, has a lot to hide.

Will the Jonathan presidency destroy the North control over the country? Yes and No. Yes, as a temporary solution because the same forces will be out again after Jonathan presidency to remind us that there was an agreement reached by Jonathan and some Northern caucus on power transfer. No because Jonathan like Obasanjo will be a North puppet in office like it was in 1976-1979.

What has all these got to do with Mallam Nuru Ribadu, a northerner, a Muslim and a former police Boss of the EFCC as a president for Nigeria? In my published article on articlebase.com and korlokinews.wordpress.com titled "Late President Yar'Adua Left no clear legacy" I mentioned the attribute of this young man Nuru Ribadu as one of the best brains to come out of the North. His works in office proved the often look down mentality of the region by the South on the failure of the North to provide good leaders since Mallam Aminu Kano. Ribadu demonstrated his honesty and sincerity in the way he carried his work for the Nation. Late President Yar'Adua was one of the weakest and criminals to ever ruled Nigeria from the North like former President Shagari who was praying when criminals where sharing Nigeria money, late President Yar'Adua closed his eyes to the atrocities of the Minister of Justices in destroying the police career of Nuru Ribadu.

Nuru Ribadu gave Nigeria his best as the Chairman of EFCC, he moved with the Southern Progressives. A man with true love for his country, he did his work in the way Nigerians home and abroad wanted, he gave us a new respect. Like Awolowo and Aminu Kano, this young man request for Presidency must be supported by all to keep the "Devils" away from the future of a NEW NIGERIA

Ribadu Presidency will free Nigeria from it self and from emotions, religion, ethnic, or tribal sentiments but on the love of the people, the needy and poor and future of coming generation and expectations of the country among the comity of nations.

Personally, I stand for FOI to be signed at Federal and state level, creation of State and City Police, establishment of Mayoral system to run our cities, rights of women and children, rights for all the sick in our hospitals, creation of downtown in most our cities, compulsory life insurance for any one employed as security guards and all commuters of public transport, and uninterrupted power supply for the Nation. I want a president that will swear with the Bible, Quran or what ever, that

"I.... will never steal from Nigeria in any form, in ideas, money and knowledge"

That person will be the President of my Choice; Mallam Nuru Ribadu can meet this dream not President Jonathan with his funny resource control hat and wide smile to his premolars. Let us give Ribadu a chance, let all Nigerians that can write, educate all on what is at stake, let us for ones rescue this greatest concentration of black race from the hands of the oppressors and vote to support Nuru Ribadu for the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
