When it comes to matters of the heart it is best to do things the best way. Breaking up with a boyfriend isn't always the best choice and shouldn't be your first thought when troubles crop up. Relationships have ups and downs. You and your boyfriend aren't mind readers. Even if you could you'd likely misinterpret what you find there. If you really love each other you're going to have to learn how to work through these ups and downs. This doesn't mean that there aren't times when breaking up is the best option. Sometimes it's the only option. But, there are many times when couples choose to break up and call things off when the relationship could have been saved and made even stronger. How can you tell the difference? This is always the challenge, isn't it? The difference is love; plain and simple. You can't make him love you. He can't make you love him. If you do love each other, you can work through almost anything if you're both willing to do the tough stuff required to make it work. Sometimes a relationship shouldn't be saved but if you can save it and you both love each other why wouldn't you want to do your very best to make it work? It might hurt. It will probably hurt a lot. But, the pain involved in working things out is much less than the pain of losing the person you love from your life for good. What can you do to patch things up and make them right? Talk to each other not at each other. You need to speak and listen and really hear with your heart what is going on in the mind and heart of your boyfriend. You also need to make him understand what is going on with you. Will this be a quick fix? That will probably not happen. It will take time to get things sorted out but taking the first step is the most difficult and the most important. But doing this is the best way. Breaking up with a boyfriend isn't. At least breaking up isn't unless there are some serious problems that even love can't cut through or an absence of love. Stop trying to find the best way for breaking up with a boyfriend.
