LED's or Light Emitting Diodes are today percieved as the solution to lighting problems in future
. LED's consume very little electricity but has a good input to output rati which here is current input:lumens of output .LED's also are somwhat shockproof and cannot be damaged easily other thn improper use. Moreover LED's has a huge life. There are still controversies about LED lighting systems due to some setbacks. Though evryone may think that LED's are foolproof that is actually not the case. LED's may consume little power, may be easy to use and may have a great light output ratio but LED'd too has a few setbacks. If we look at basic transparent high energy bulbs and basic transparnt High energy LED's the difference lies in the only fact that a bulb ie a tungsten filament or a halogen when glows emits frequency covering many consecutive bandwidth this different frequencies allows a light source to be anticipated from a greater distance but LEDs are manufactured to emit a single bandwidth. Thats how transparent LEDs can emit color. The semiconducting metals in LED are varied in proportion to achieve this difference in colours. LEDs has scored in large because other electronic lighting devices uses vaccum, pressure, consumes huge current but they are energy efficient, small, and this technology has a potential to advance. But can LED's replace every usage of filament lamps remains a question.
