Adoption rates and forecasts for the well-hyped technology of cloud computing are all on the map.Goldman Sachs say one thing, say another Forrester.We reviewed a survey of over 1,500 Spiceworks IT professionals shows that small firms are more willing to transfer their technologies in the cloud.The top line: 24 percent said they use or are considering moving into the cloud.Despite this, 62 percent still said they are not currently using the clouds and did not intend to use it.The biggest turn-off appears to be concerns on the proven technology, which will surely change as technology becomes more reliable and more established.

The reality is that SMEs have been on the cloud for some time now, and are the main drivers of the largest and fastest growth trajectory of the technology surrounding the cloud.SaaS adoption from the beginning, many SMEs have contributed to the rapid growth of SaaS providers like Salesforce.com.Now, small and medium businesses are looking to their largely in the cloud, if only for the sole reason of saving money.
